Ernesto Rodríguez-Corría

I am a photographer born in Cuba and raised in Spain and the United States.  I specialize in landscape and architectural photography.
There is a simple idealism in the framing and presentation of a landscape that I find so very rewarding.  To isolate a small part of nature, seemingly untouched by man and share this dream with others through a photograph is a game I will gladly play for a lifetime.  Having grown up on an island and then moving to Miami, I have drawn my inspiration mostly from the surrounding water.
From peaceful dreamy longer exposures to the violence and impact of the waves crashing into rugged coasts, coastal scenes will remain my favorite subject.  Nevertheless, I am quite happy to face the challenge of capturing the beauty and character of other landscapes and structures.  Be it a densely built city, where light is an implied presence, or dramatic towering mountains framed against the snow blowing from their peaks.
All my photographs are captured using a digital camera and are digitally processed prior to printing.  I currently print a maximum of 50 editions (and two artist proofs.)  Photographs range in size from 8”x10” to 30”x72” Most of the work is presented on archival grade media, face mounted on gallery quality acrylic which gives the photographs an almost three-dimensional look.
